It’s been over two decades since a few environmental professionals saw a need for consulting firms to get their hands on comprehensive, accurate government records data – quickly –  and EDR was founded. Over time, our clients started looking to outsource more and more data collection in order to meet the demand for faster turnaround times required for Phase I Site Assessments, and EDR delivered. Soon, we were offering standard historical sources such as fire insurance maps, aerial photos, and city directories, to name a few.

Today, our data enables $1 trillion in transactions per year and our clients include all stakeholders in property due diligence: environmental professionals, lenders, appraisers, corporations, law firms, insurance companies, government agencies and real estate professionals. While we remain focused on providing the robust data we’ve become known for, we also realized that as the industries we serve were changing their day-to-day workflow by utilizing advancing technology, so must we.

We’re no longer just data. EDR is now a broader solution that provides data and workflow tools to help our clients manage that data in all aspects of property due diligence and compliance. Our mission is to continuously improve the ways in which property stakeholders assess, transact, and manage their real estate assets.

One thing that hasn’t changed at EDR is our company culture and philosophy.
